- The Wichita State Shockers will participate this Monday and Tuesday in the Hoosier Fall Invitational, hosted by Indiana University.
Held at the Crooked Stick Golf Course, the invitational will
begin Monday with 36 holes. The
tournament will conclude on Tuesday with the final 18 holes and each day will
begin with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun.
Gretchen Huhnerkoch leads the Shockers this fall with 75.77
stroke average through the first three tournaments. The Minnesota native has finished in the top-12 of two
tournaments and she tied for 27th at the Shockers most recent
tournament, the Johnnie Imes Invitational. The junior has shot in the 70s every round but one so far
this fall.
Fellow juniors Hollie Weatherburn and Natalie Samb are
second and third in stroke average for Wichita State at 79.11 and 79.22,
respectively. Weatherburn joined
the Shockers this season after a stellar two-year career at West Texas College.
