WICHITA, Kan.- The Wichita State women's golf team will head
to Tucson, Ariz. March 15-16 to compete in the 2013 Mountain View Collegiate
Invitational at Mountain View Golf Club.
The Shockers are coming off a seventh place team finish at
the Rio Verde Invitational March 8-10, shooting 609 (303-306) in the shortened
event. Freshman Meghan Schuetz had her best tournament as a Shocker, carding a
149 (74-75) to finish in a tie for eighth. Bryce Schroeder (78-74) and Hollie
Weatherburn (71-81) both finished in a tie for 22nd carding a 152.
Schuetz, Weatherburm and Schroeder will be joined by senior
Hannah Martin and redshirt freshman Madison Murphy.
The course at Mountain View Golf Club is a 6,227-yard, par
72 course. Teams from College of Charleston, Colorado State, Indiana, Iowa,
Kansas State, Misosuri, North Texas, Northern Arizona, Redlands Community
College, San Jose State, Texas State, Texas Tech, North Carolina-Greensboro and
Wyoming will join the Shocker women.
The first round will begin on Friday, March 15 with a 7:30
a.m. shotgun start. The second round will also be played on Friday. Saturday's
final round will also begin with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start.
