WICHITA – Wichita State's Shellamae Farmer and Jason Parrish posted new American Conference leads in the pole vault and 400-meter hurdles, respectively, as the Shockers concluded their regular season competition Friday afternoon at the Shocker Open in University Stadium.

The sophomore pole vaulter from Hoisington, Kan. placed second behind Wichita State pole vault coach Aliyah Fertig, clearing a personal-best 4.13m/13'7" to claim the outright lead in the American Conference.

In the 400-meter hurdles, junior Jason Parrish improved his conference leading time to 50.22, winning the race by over two seconds. Parrish ranks 23rd in the nation in the 400 hurdles.

The Shockers swept the 100/110 hurdles with freshman Keely Hoback running the No. 10 time in school history to win the women's 100-meter hurdles in 13.76 and junior Josh Parrish winning the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 13.48. Senior Cali Kerschen finished second in the women's race with a personal-best time of 13.82, and freshman Jabari Armstrong took second in the men's race with a time of 13.79, good for No. 6 in school history.

In the 100-meter dash, sophomore Chairo Ogbebor tied his personal best and school record time, winning the race in a wind-legal 10.17. His time ranks No. 4 this season in Canada and is a U23 Canadian lead.

Redshirt-sophomore Karlynn Hornung recorded her second-straight personal best in the hammer, throwing 53.51m/175'7" to place third and move up to No. 6 in school history.

The Shockers claimed 12 more events wins throughout the meet, including a high jump sweep by Kaleb Tesmer with a 2.11m/6'11" clearance and Jelese Alexander with a jump of 1.76m/5'9.25".
