American Conference All-Academic Team - 2026
AD Honor Roll - Fall 2025
2025-26 (Freshman): Indoor – Competed in nine meets, completing three heptathlons…Took third in the Shocker Multi heptathlon, recording top marks in the 60 meters, high jump and 1,000 meters…Took second in the high jump at the Mark Colligan Memorial with a season-best clearance of 2.09m/6’10.25”…Won the heptathlon at the Coach Wilson Invitational with 5,098 points, recording top marks in five of seven events…Placed fifth in the high jump with a clearance of 2.05m/6’8.75” and fifth in the heptathlon with a season-best total of 5,100 points, recording the best high jump clearance of the competition (2.08m/6’9.75”) at the American Conference Indoor Championships, scoring eight points for the team.
Outdoor – Competed in seven meets…Placed fifth in the decathlon with 6,882 points, recording the highest high jump clearance of the competition (2.05m/6’8.75”) and took seventh in the open high jump with a jump of 2.03m/6’7.75” at the American Conference Outdoor Championships, scoring six points and helping the Shockers win the men’s team title.
High School: Competed for Olathe North…Was named the 2025 Kansas Boys Indoor Track and Field Performer of the Year…Set the Olathe North high jump record…Three-time top-three finisher at the state championship…Three-time Sunflower league award winner…Helped Olathe North win the 2024 Kansas state team title, competing on the same team as fellow Shockers, Jason and Josh Parrish…Placed 11
th in the high jump at the USATF U20 Championships…Also played football and basketball.
Personal: Son of Trevor Smither and Amy Kern…Has seven siblings, Ashton, Adelyn, Shia, Sophie, Emma, Eli, and Hunter…Can say the ABCs in two seconds…Outside of track and field, enjoys being on side quests and hanging out with friends...Majoring in exercise science.
