WICHITA – Wichita State is set to host the 77
th annual KT Woodman Classic Friday and Saturday in Cessna Stadium following the Shocker Pre-State Challenge high school meet on Thursday and Friday.

High school events begin at 5 p.m. on Thursday and 9 a.m. on Friday for the Shocker Pre-State Challenge, and college events start at 5:50 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. on Saturday for the KT Woodman Classic.

Over three days, over 4,000 athletes from 184 schools will come through Cessna Stadium to compete.

Wichita State holds the best seed time/mark in seven events entering the meet:
Farrah Miller (800m),
Aurora Wessel (100H),
Josh Parrish (110H and LJ),
Marissa Jensen (HJ),
Chidera Okoro (LJ), and
Jenna Kuepker (JAV).

Meanwhile, the Shockers' multi-event group will compete in Azusa, Calif. at the Bryan Clay Multis on Thursday and Friday.
Destiny Masters, currently ranked No. 2 in the NCAA in the heptathlon, as well as
Abby Klipstein will compete against athletes from 26 other schools, including American Athletic Conference competitor Christiana Mudd from UAB. Masters will compete in the A section, and Klipstein will be in group D.

Luke Porter, and
Rikard Trogen Hedin are scheduled to compete against athletes from 18 other programs in the decathlon. Bailey, Czarnecki and Trogen Hedin will compete in the B section, and Porter will be in group C.

ROAD TO EUGENE
The 2025 NCAA Division I Outdoor will take place June 11-14 in Eugen, Ore. at Hayward Field. This year for the west region, the road to Eugene goes through College Station, Texas, where the top 48 individual athletes and the top 24 relays in the region will compete at the NCAA West Preliminaries (NCAA First Round) May 28-31 for a spot at the NCAA Championships. The top 12 in each event advance to the championship. Combined event athletes (heptathlon and decathlon) do not attend the First Rounds, but instead, the top 24 athletes overall advance directly to the NCAA Championship in Eugene.
