AUSTIN, Texas – The Wichita State track and field program had multiple athletes competing at the 92nd Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays, Bobcat Invitational in San Marcos, Texas, and Stanford Invitational in Stanford, Calif., Friday, March 29.

Texas Relays
21 Shockers were in day two action at the 92nd Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays. Following a preliminary qualifying sixth place finish on Thursday,
Austin Corley was in action for the second consecutive day. Corley finished ninth in the men's 400m hurdles with a time of 53.62.

Joseph Holthusen won the first section of the men's 110m hurdles with a collegiate personal best time of 14.54. The true freshman finished 31st in a field that 75 athletes in 10 heats.
Denvoir Griffin finished sixth in the sixth heat of the men's 100m dash with a time of 10.95.

Shocker men had three relays on the track, including distance medley relay, 4x400m relay and 4x100m relay. The distance medley relay team of
Jed Helker,
Adam Gauzy,
Connor Stine and
Ben Flowers finished 10th with a time of 10:13.67. 4x400m team of Corley, Gauzy,
Kaden Griffin and
Rayvon Allen placed 13th (3:14.44), while the 4x100m team of
Denvoir Griffin, Allen,
Richard Sandefur and
Jared Belardo ran 42.54 to finish 30th overall.

Belardo finished fourth in section B of the men's triple jump with a mark of 15.21m/49-11, while
Cory Martens placed 11th in section B of the men's discus with a throw of 51.24m/168-1.

On the women's side at the Texas Relays, nine athletes were in action.
Kelsey Slawson and
Sidney Sapp each recorded top-10 finishes in their respective events. Slawson finished fourth in section B of shot put with a mark of 15.21m/49-11, while Sapp placed eighth in section B of high jump clearing 1.66m/5-5.25.

In the relays,
Paula Garcia, Sapp,
Trudy Martin and
Yazmine Wright combined to finish ninth in the sprint medley relay with a time of 4:00.01. The 4x400m relay team of
Tianna Holmes,
Jacque Darby, Martin and
Daysha Bullocks finished 20th clocking in at 3:48.79.

Garcia and
Taniyah McMillian each competed in section eight of the 100m dash, Garcia placed second (12.00) and McMillian finished fourth (12.11). Garcia placed 58th overall and McMillian 63rd, the race featured just over 100 athletes.

Bobcat Invitational
Ethan Kossover highlighted the day for the Shockers winning the 3000m steeplechase with a personal best time of 9:18.44, he shaved nearly 18 seconds off his previous best. Teammate
Cory Landon followed in third place finishing the race in 9:30.47.

Other Shockers recording top-10 finishes in their respective events include,
Halle Johnson sixth in 1500m with a personal best time of 4:36.30,
Alexi Whatley seventh in 400m hurdles (1:03.09),
Claudia Rojo seventh in long jump with a personal best (5.83m/19-1.5),
Rita Schnacker eighth in 5000m (17:55.25),
Shania VanNoster eighth in high jump (1.60m/5-3) and
Anycia Cole finishing 10th in the 400m hurdles with a personal best time 1:03.96.

Stanford Invitational
Three Shockers paced the track on the west coast.
Rebekah Topham started things off for the Shockers in the women's 3000m steeplechase. The redshirt junior finished sixth in the invitational section with a time of 10:09.94.
Zack Penrod followed as the next Shocker to take the track, he finished fourth in section three of the men's 1500m with time of 3:47.80.
Winny Koskei ended the night for the Shockers finishing 31st in the women's invitational 10,000m race with a time of 33:50.68.

Wichita State is back in action Saturday, March 30, in San Marcos, Texas at the Bobcat Invitational and Austin, Texas at the 92nd Clyde Little Field Texas relays.
