Coach McCurdy on Slayton
"I am thrilled that Madison chose Wichita State to pursue her golf and academic career! We had her on our radar for a long time and she did a thorough search of many universities and in the end, she decided to stay home and be a Shocker. She's talented, intelligent and a very hard worker, and those are traits that are so important to success in college golf. She has spent the last year focusing on adding distance to her game, which has paid off. She's been a great ball striker, and the added distance elevated her to the top of many coaches' recruiting lists. She's very competitive, thinks well when it comes to managing her game and she's really good at understanding how to score. Shocker Nation just added a great one in Madison Slayton!"
