KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Wichita State women's golf team finished in second place at the Kansas City Shootout at Shoal Creek Golf Club. The Shockers carded scores of 310-293-317 for a total of 920, two strokes behind the winner, Little Rock.

Taryn Torgerson notched her fourth top-ten finish of the season and career, finishing in fifth place. Torgerson carded 75-71-79 for a total of 225 and finishing her at 9 over par.

Meghan Jack finished tied for 12th place after shooting 78-74-77 for a total of 229. Jack finished 13 over par, and earned her fifth top-20 finish of the season.

Gavrilla Arya also finished in the top-20, her fourth time this year. Arya shot 78-72-81 for a total of 231 to finish tied for 16th place, and was 15 over par.

Bryce Schroeder finished tied for 27th place after scoring 79-77-80 for a total of 236. Schroeder finished 20 over par.

Maria Alejandra Villalobos finished tied for 49th place, shooting 84-76-83 to total 243 and put her at 27 over par.

Abbi Shaddix and Samantha Stewart played as individuals. Shaddix finished tied for 27th, shooting 75-84-77 for a total of 236, and finished 20 over par. Stewart tied for 67th place, carding 83-82-85 for a total of 250, finishing 34 over par.

The Shockers will look to take their third-straight conference title when they head to Chicago on April 17-19 for the Missouri Valley Conference Championship.
