SERIES HISTORY
This weekend's series will be the third trip to Denton in the last four years. The last time Wichita State traveled to North Texas, the Mean Green won 2-of-3. Both wins were by a combined two runs. The Shockers won the first 10 meetings in the series before North Texas won six of the next seven.

LAST MEETING VS. THE MEAN GREEN
After Wichita State took 2-of-3 vs. North Texas during the regular season in 2025, the Mean Green had the last laugh in the quarterfinals of the American Athletic Conference Championship. As a freshman for the Mean Green, Moore homered and drove in 4 of the team's 8 runs. Wichita State slowly chipped away, cutting the deficit to 6-4 entering the bottom of the 5th, but North Texas added a pair of insurance runs to halt the Shockers' comeback bid.
