PALM COAST, Fla. - The Wichita State women's golf team completed the first round of the American Athletic Conference championship on Sunday, with Gavrilla Arya sitting in a tie for sixth.

The senior shot an even par 72 in the first 18 holes, collecting three birdies and three bogeys in the process. Wichita State is eyeing its second consecutive individual championship, with Taryn Torgerson winning the individual title in 2018 in the Shockers' first appearance in the AAC.
