SEDONA, Ariz.- Shooting an 875 at the Red Rocks Invitational, the Wichita State women's golf team broke the program record for lowest 54-hole score.

The Shockers compiled a 294 after coming up with a 289 and a 292 in the previous two rounds, both earning places in the top 10 for lowest 18-hole round score. Wichita State beat the previous record by five strokes, which was 280 at the Johnie Imes Invitational in 2015.

Hana Mirnik compiled the ninth-lowest 54-hole score in program history with a 217, finishing in a tie for 15th place for her third top 20 finish of the season. Gavrilla Arya compiled the 13th lowest score 54-hole score in program history with a 218, coming in a tie for 22nd.

Michelle Ledermann finished in a tie for 24th with a 219. Her 2-under par performance in the first 18 holes set a new career low round score and marked the second time this season where a Shocker golfer has shot under 70, also marking the seventh lowest 18-hole round score in program history.

Laine Evans tied for 46th with a 225 while Annika Chickering came up with a 226 to tie for 48th.

Wichita State finished in a tie for ninth place, finishing ahead of eight teams. New Mexico State shot a 278 to climb its way into the top of the leaderboard, beating Cal State Fullerton by five strokes.

The Shockers have two weeks off from action before their final regular season tournament. Wichita State competes in the KC Intercollegiate on April 8.
