FAYETTEVILLE, Ark./PITTSBURG, Kan. -- Wichita State's indoor track and field teams set school records in the men's Distance Medley Relay, women's 4x400 meter relay and the women's 400 meters Saturday at the Tyson Invitational and the Pitt State Gorilla Classic.
At the Arkansas Tyson Invitational, the men's DMR of
Ugis Jocis,
Connor Stine,
Zack Penrod and
Aaron Miller ran a 9:50.45 to break the 45-year old school record of 9:51.00 ran by Cooper, McAlister, Smith and Walker in 1972.
At Pitt State, the quartet of
Natalie Halfman,
Martiesha Caines,
Daysha Bullocks and
Nikki Larch-Miller ran a 3:40.88 in the 4x400 meter relay to also set a school record just set on Jan. 21, 2017 at the Mark Colligan Invitational of 3:42.87.
Nikki Larch-Miller also set an individual school record in the 400 meters with a time of 54.57. Larch-Miller broke the record of 54.93 set by Natalie Morerod in 2014.
Other performances worth-noting at Pitt State included:

Cody Scheck won the unseeded 400 meters in a time of 48.52 to set a personal best.

Breanne Borman was second in the high jump with a height of 5-6.5/1.69m.

Kaden Griffin was third in the triple jump 48-1.25/14.66m.
At Arkansas, WSU also had other stand-out performances:

Jamesia Milton finished fifth in the shot put with a personal best 49-9.25/15.17m that was half an inch off the school record.

Rebekah Topham and
Sidney Hirsch finished 1-2 in the 3,000 meters in times of 9:36.13 and 9:52.82. Topham's time is the fourth-best in school history.
