Ten: Three Shockers Gain All-Conference Honors

WICHITA, Kan.- Tennis student-athletes Matheus Pereira, Tin Ostojic and Rebecca Pedrazzi were added to their respective Missouri Valley Conference All-Select teams today, the conference office announced. Due to a balloting error the three were left off the team initially.

Pereira, who was named to the All-Conference Team at No. 1 doubles with Ostojic, carries a singles record of 18-10 into Wichita State's NCAA Tournament match on Friday, May 10 against Oklahoma at 3 p.m. He went 4-1 in conference singles play. Ostojic, the MVC Freshman of the Year, has a record of 18-9 in singles play.

Pedrazzi, MVC Freshman of the Year on the women's side, also garnered an All-Conference award in doubles play, winning the honor at No. 2 doubles with Carla Venticinque. The Modena, Italy native has had an impressive freshman season with a record of 19-12 in singles play, including 5-1 in conference matches.

The Shocker women will also compete in the NCAA Tournament when they travel to Lincoln, Neb. on Friday, May 10 to take on Nebraska at 2 p.m.
