DENTON, Texas — No. 26 Wichita State grabbed momentum in doubles and never looked back in a 4-0 win over Liberty on Saturday at Waranch Tennis Complex.

The Shockers (16-3) extended their winning streak to 14 matches with the victory over Liberty (12-8). The streak is tied for the fourth-longest in program history. It also marked Wichita State's seventh consecutive road win, the third-longest streak in team history.

In doubles, Liberty grabbed the early edge with a 6-2 win over
Kristina Kudryavtseva and
Theodora Chantava at No. 2.
Xin Tong Wang and
Giorgia Roselli responded for Wichita State with a 6-3 win at No. 1, sending the doubles point to be decided at No. 3.

At No. 3,
Vichitraporn Vimuktananda and
Anne Knuettel trailed 5-1 but rallied to win six consecutive games and clinch a 7-5 victory.

In singles, Wichita State maintained control by winning five of six first sets.

Chantava bounced back from her doubles loss with a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 3.

Wang pushed the lead to 3-0 with a 6-3, 6-2 victory at No. 1, putting the Shockers on the brink of victory.

Vimuktananda closed out the match for Wichita State with a 6-0, 6-4 win at No. 4.
