Biography

As a Junior...Had a singles record of 4-4 and doubles record of 4-3 for the fall season...Made it to the finals of the flight C singles bracket at the Kansas Fall Invitational...Captured third place in the flight three singles bracket at the Missouri Valley Conference Individual Championships by defeating Nell Boyd of Drake, 6-2, 6-0...Made it to the finals of the flight two doubles bracket at the MVC Individual Championships

As a Sophomore...Finished the season with an overall record of 22-12 in singles play and 25-10 in doubles play...Went undfeated in conference play...Won a Missouri Valley Conference Individual Championship at the No. 4 singles position and No. 2 doubles position with Lutfiana Budiharto...Was named to the MVC All-Conference Team at the No. 6 position...Ended the season with an eleven match winning streak...Defeated Hannah Esker of Illinois State, 6-1, 6-0, to help the Shockers capture the MVC Tournament title.

As a Freshman...Finished the season with a 15-10 overall singles record with a 8-0 MVC record...Played in the No. 2, 3, 4 and 5 singles positions for the Shockers...Posted a 17-9 doubles record including a 16-4 record with Delia Damaschin...Was defeated by Maria Belaya of #15 Clemson, 2-6, 1-6 in the first round of the NCAA tournament...Joined the Shockers in January 2011...fell to Misia Kedzierski of #25 Illinois, 6-2,6-4 at the FGCU Invitational in January.

Personal...Born July 14, 1991...daughter of Nieves Torres Sanchez and Ruben Venticinque....is majoring in Economics at WSU...favorite tennis player is Rafael Nadal.
