WICHITA - Wichita State won its way into the semifinals of the State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Tournament on Friday afternoon against eighth-seeded Bradley, 4-0.

The Shockers (13-10) opened the MVC tournament in dominating fashion, clinching the doubles point in two matches while using just three singles matches to advance to Saturday's competition.

The senior duo of Florentina Hanisch and Lenore Lazaroiu got the Shockers off to a hot start with an 8-0 win against Jessica Buterbaugh and Kelly Donohue. The No. 1 tandem of sophomore Lutfiana Budiharto and Stephanie Dalmacio took down Nicole Miller and Emily Regenold in the No. 1 spot, 8-1 to seal the point.

Sophomore Delia Damaschin kept the momentum rolling with a quick 6-1, 6-0 victory, topping Buterbaugh at the No. 4 spot. Hanisch followed close behind, not surrendering a set to Kennedy Scott in the No. 5 position, 6-0, 6-0.

Fellow sophomore Lily Wakim finished the match in favor of the Shocks. Her 6-0, 6-2 victory over Bradley's Brigitte Graf gave WSU the 4-0 advantage to end the afternoon.

The Shocks will move on to face No. 4 UNI on Saturday. First serve is set for 10 a.m.
