As a Junior…Honored in every Missouri Valley Conference category at the end of her junior season…Named to the MVC Scholar-Athlete first team…Made the All-MVC team in both singles and doubles…Posted a 23-7 overall singles record, highlighted by a flawless 7-0 conference record…In the spring, Lazaroiu tallied an 18-4 mark…Kicked off the spring season by bumping off Amy Cabato of #28 Central Oklahoma in straight sets, 6-0, 6-2…One month later she took on Jennifer Holmberg of #56 Nebraska and won, 6-4, 7-6 (2) to help her go 3-1 against Big 12 opponents…Defeated just twice in her final 20 matches of the season...Was leading her counterparts from #23 SMU and #65 Nevada when both were marked as unfinished…Played the majority of the season in the No. 5 and 6 positions…In doubles, Lazaroiu played most of the spring with Lutfiana Budiharto in the No. 2 position before finishing the year in the No. 3 spot with graduated Shocker Torrie Browning…With Budiharto, the duo went 13-4…Toppled Anastasia Erofeeva and Jie Zeng of #36 Tulsa, 8-4…The pair went 4-0 in Big 12 match-ups, highlighted by their 8-4 victory over Wiveca Swarting and Jennifer Holmberg of #56 Nebraska.
As a Sophomore...Named to the Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete first team...Named to the Missouri Valley All-Conference team at No. 2 doubles with teammate Anna Egorova...Posted an overall singles record of 22-11 at No. 4 singles...Finished with a commanding 26-9 overall doubles record, competing at the No. 2 spot...Held a 5-1 singles record in the MVC for the spring...Notable victories include a 7-6, 6-2 victory over Rebecca Yow from No. 38 University of Tulsa...Fought hard and prevailed over Valeriia Petrovych (2-6, 6-2, 6-4) from Indiana State in the MVC conference championships...Together with Egorova in the spring, they finished 15-3...Big wins include a dominating 8-1 victory over the No. 43 Boise State duo of Jana Mackova and Laura Baum...Defeated two different doubles teams from conference champ Indiana State, one of which included two All-Conference team players, Fadzai Masiyazi and Sarah Meghoufel (8-5)...In the fall, Lazaroiu went 3-1 at the MCC Collegiate Invitational, highlighted by a 6-3, 6-2 win over Clayton State’s Julia Chergova, who was then ranked No. 25 in NCAA Division-II...Teamed with Florentina Hanisch to go 3-1 in the doubles draw, including an 8-6 win over the Nebraska duo of Imke Reimers and Jana Alberg.
As a Freshman...Named Intercollegiate Tennis Association Rookie-of-the-Year with a 20-6 singles record and a doubles record of 19-5...Named to the Missouri Valley Conference Women's Tennis All-Conference Team in both singles and doubles after going undefeated during conference play...Won deciding matches against nationally-ranked opponents Nevada and Boise State.
