WICHITA -- The Shockers are ready to welcome their competition to Wichita for the 2009 Wichita State Shocker Invitational beginning on Monday, Oct. 19.

Hosting their first tournament since the 2002-03 season, the Shockers will join seven visiting teams to make up the eight-team field. The two-round tournament will take place at Sand Creek Station in Newton, Kan. The course plays at 6,156 yards to a par of 72.

Round one will begin on Monday with the first tee time set for 9 a.m. and the last slated for 10:52 a.m. Tuesday's round two will commence with a 9 a.m. shotgun start with pairings based on round one's results.
