A New Season Begins
• Wichita State men's tennis is in its fourth season under head coach Darragh Glavin.
• The Shockers went 12–13 last season, their best record and highest win total under Glavin.
• The Shockers have a preseason team Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) of 74.43, which ranks as No. 68 in the NCAA.
• WSU's team UTR is the fifth-highest in the American Conference.
Last Match
• The Shockers lost 4-0 to the Grand Canyon Lopes on Sunday in Phoenix, Ariz.
• The match was the final of five in four days for Wichita State.
Fall Notes
• The Shockers earned 12 singles wins and five doubles wins in limited fall action.
• Alejandro Jacome led the Shockers in the fall with four singles wins, including three at the American Conference Singles Championship.
• Ilias Worthington led the team in doubles wins with three.
• Jacome reached the semifinals of the American Conference Singles Championship and the doubles championship with Worthington.
• Zaid Al Mashni ended the fall ranked No. 66 by the ITA in singles
Last Year's Leaders
• Worthington led the Shockers in singles wins with 13, with Jacome close behind at 11.
• Jacome and Worthington tied for the team lead in doubles wins with 11 among returning Shockers.
Returners to the Lineup
• Five Shockers return for another season in Wichita in 2026.
• The five returners combined for 39 of the team's 65 dual-match singles wins last season.
• Three of the top five Shockers in singles wins—Jacome, Worthington, and Amir Milushev—are back with Wichita State.
Newcomers
• The Shockers have four new players for the 2025–26 season, with three arriving for the spring semester.
• All four—Pablo Roche Alcaya, Felix Bockelmann-Evans, James Lammas, and Rodrigo Cruz—arrived in Wichita as true freshmen.
Additional Notes
• In January matches, the Shockers were 2–2 last season and are 9-12 under Glavin.
• Against teams outside the American Conference, Wichita State went 9–10 last season.
• The Shockers are 26-30 all-time in the Glavin era against unranked opponents.
Scouting Omaha
• Omaha is 0-2 on the season with two 7-0 losses to Nebraska on Jan. 17.
• Hunter Clark is in his second season at the helm of the Mavericks after serving as an assistant coach at Utah State.
• The Mavericks went 10-12 last season, going 3-2 in Summit League play.
• Omaha was 4-3 at home last year. 
Series History vs. Omaha
• The Shockers are a perfect 7-0 against Omaha all-time.
• The teams have met each year since 2020, including twice in 2021.
• This will be the first matchup outside of Wichita between the teams.
• Wichita State has outscored Omaha 39-8 across the prior seven meetings.
