WICHITA – Wichita State's
Josh Parrish went 2-for-2 in his individual events, winning the 110-meter hurdles and long jump and moving up to No. 1 in the American Athletic Conference in both events at the 77
th annual KT Woodman Classic in Cessna Stadium.

The sophomore from Olathe, Kan. raced to a 110-meter hurdles win, running a wind-aided 13.50 (+6.2) and jumped a wind-aided 7.98m/26'2.25" (+5.6w) to win the long jump and move up to No. 1 in the AAC. He also recorded a wind legal jump of 7.69m/25'2.75", good for No. 16 in the NCAA standings. Three other Shockers also recorded big marks in the long jump as
Chairo Ogbebor jumped 7.47m/24'6.25" (+7.9w) to take third and rank second in the AAC,
Travon Williams jumped 7.33m/24'0.75" (+5.4w) to place sixth and rank third in the conference, and
Darius Graham jumped 7.25m/23'9.5" to take seventh and rank fifth in the AAC.

In the women's 100-meter hurdles, the Shockers went 1-2-3 with
Kate Campos winning with a time of 13.65,
Aurora Wessel taking second in 13.72, and
Cali Kerschen finishing third in 14.04. Campos' time ranks seventh and Wessel's time ranks ninth in Wichita State history.

Jason Parrish picked up his second-straight 400-meter hurdles win, running 51.63 in windy conditions and later ran on the winning 4x400-meter relays with
Yared Kidane,
RJ Hutchison and
Joakim Genereux as the team clocked a time of 3:14.39.

In the discus,
Ridge Estes recorded the seventh-best throw in Shocker history to place second with a mark of 55.50m/182'1" and move up to No. 3 in the AAC and No. 7 in Shocker history.
Loudan Hicks also took second in a throwing event, throwing a personal-best 57.79m/189'7" in the hammer to rank fifth in the conference.

Jaleel Montgomery improved his time at No. 2 all-time in Wichita State history in the 100 meters, running 10.23 to finish fourth, Williams moved up to No. 4 in the conference in the high jump with a clearance of 2.04m/6'8.25".

The Shockers hit the road for the Bryan Clay Invitational (distance), Oregon Team Invitational, and Coyote Challenge from April 16-19.
