Brady Palen was named the American Athletic Conference Field Athlete of the Week for the second-consecutive week, the conference announced Tuesday.

The high jumper from Beloit, Kan. cleared an outdoor best of 2.20m/7'2.5" to win the high jump at the Arkansas Spring Invitational.

His mark ties for fourth in the NCAA and leads the AAC by nine centimeters.

Palen has now jumped over seven feet 19 times in his career.

He and the majority of the Shockers will compete at home on Friday and Saturday at the KT Woodman Classic, while a few distance runners will head to California for the Bryan Clay Invitational and the Leopard Distance Carnival.
