WICHITA, Kan. – Zarrey Sams swept the long and triple jump as the Shockers collected six event wins on day two of the KT Woodman Classic Saturday at Cessna Stadium.

Sams opened the meet by improving her triple jump personal best by over a foot, winning the event with a jump of 12.56m/41'2.5". She came back to win the long jump by almost a foot with a leap of 5.84m/19'2".

The junior from Houston, Texas also ran on the winning 4x100-meter relay to go 3-for-3 on the day.
Faith Turner,
Sydney Johnson and
Savannah Simmons completed the quartet that ran 46.09.

The Shocker women completed the relay sweep with
Sadie Millard,
Farrah Miller,
Maya Fabri and Johnson winning the 4x400 in 3:48.37.

In the high jump,
Marissa Jensen kept her winning streak alive as she claimed her third-straight victory, clearing a personal-best 1.75m/5'8.75", which ties her for the 10
th-highest mark in program history.

Joseph Holthusen won the 110-meter hurdles, running 14.09, just .01 away from his personal best at the last home meet.

Outside the oval,
Matty Everett threw a season-best 55.17m/181'0" in the discus to place second, as
Ridge Estes moved up to eighth all-time in Shocker history with his fourth-place throw of 54.34m/178'3".

The Shockers are back on the track Thursday, Apr. 13 in Lawrence, Kan. for the Kansas Relays.
