WICHITA, Kan. - A stellar year in the classroom has landed Wichita State women's golf a top 25 team finish among all Division I schools in 2021-22, it was announced Wednesday afternoon by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA).
Wichita State tied for 21st with a team GPA of 3.787, along with the University of Illinois. New Mexico took home the All-Scholar Team GPA Award with a GPA of 3.961.
The Shockers had five student-athletes (
Kenni Henson,
Megan Lucas,
Mar Vidal,
Sarah Lawson and
Madison Slayton)Â named WGCA All-American Scholars earlier this month. Lucas is also Wichita State's nomination for the prestigious NCAA Woman of the Year.
