Mackenzie Wilson and
Kenni Henson both recorded top 20 finishes at the Little Rock Golf Classic Tuesday afternoon.
The Shockers posted a team score of 32-over par, 896, finishing in ninth place as a team. Georgia State won the team title at 5-over par, 869.
For Wilson, this marks her third top 20 finish of the season in four tournaments. The freshman posted tied for 16th at 5-over par, 221. She turned in a second round score of 1-under par, 71 to highlight the two-day competition.Â
Playing in her second tournament of the season, Henson finished just one stroke behind Wilson at 6-over par, 222 to finish in a tie for 18th. The senior now has top 20 finishes in both tournaments this season.
Megan Lucas tied for 32nd at 10-over par, 226 behind rounds of 74, 75 and 77.
Mar Vidal was right behind at 11-over par, 227.
Rounding out the Wichita State lineup was
Sarah Lawson at 25-over par, 241.
Wichita State finishes the fall slate at the Ozarks National Invitational in Hollister, Mo., Oct. 31-Nov. 2.
