Wichita State's Lauren McMahon has been named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll for Sep. 6-12.
 
The 6-foot-3 middle blocker out of Dallas, Texas hit .455 and averaged 2.5 kills and 1.0 block-per-set in the Shockers' 2-1 weekend at the Kansas Invitational. In Saturday's five-set victory over Delaware she finished with a career-high 14 kills on just 26 swings.
 
McMahon is off to a strong start to her second freshman year, ranking second in the American Athletic Conference in hitting percentage (.370) and seventh in blocks-per-set (1.10).
 
WSU (5-1) opens its home schedule this weekend against South Dakota (Friday, 7 p.m.), Wyoming (Saturday, 10 a.m.) and Creighton (Saturday, 7 p.m.) as part of the Shocker Volleyball Classic, Presented by Asepn Heights. All three matches will air on ESPN+.
