Marcus Wochner checked off another milestone Tuesday, becoming the first Wichita State men's golfer to earn a spot on the American Athletic Conference's all-conference squad.
The sophomore from Holte, Denmark has been an impact addition for the Shockers this year after transferring from Odessa (Texas) Community College. He's posted top-10 finishes at four of WSU's six spring events, highlighted by a tie for second-place at last month's conference championship, and his 71.39 stroke average would be one of the five-lowest in program history.
Wochner will learn his postseason fate in less than 24 hours when the NCAA announces its individual at-large regional qualifiers. Wednesday's NCAA men's golf selection show airs live at 1 p.m. CT on the Golf Channel.
