WICHITA—The Wichita State track and field teams saw one of the nation's best performances among other impressive marks and times at the Herm Wilson Invitational on Friday inside the Heskett Center.

Joseph Holthusen ran a time of 7.79 in the 60-meter hurdles' final. His time ranks No. 5 in the NCAA as of Friday. Holthusen's time set the Heskett Center facility record.

Director of Track and Field and Cross Country Steve Rainbolt said the Herm Wilson Invitational saw good performances all over the track.

"All around the building, there were good things happening," Rainbolt said. "A couple of weeks ago, it felt like we were struggling with some injuries. We got through this meet and it didn't feel that way. I was very pleased. I thought this was a nice track meet for us."
