WICHITA, Kan. – Shocker duo
Marta Bellucco and
Fatima Bizhukova ended their season Tuesday at the NCAA Doubles Championships, falling to Sofia Blanco and Catherine Gulihur at the USTA National Campus.

Bizhukova and Marta end the season with an 11-11 overall record including an 8-5 mark in fall and tournament play. The duo became just the fourth pair to receive a bid to the NCAA Doubles Championships, and the first since 2010.

In the first set, Gulihur and Blanco got off to a hot start, taking an early 3-1 lead. Bellucco and Bizhukova, who rank No. 30 in latest ITA/Oracle Doubles Rankings, couldn't get out of the early hole – falling 6-1 in the first set to the No. 31-ranked Cowgirl duo.

Gulihur and Blanco grabbed an early break in the second before Bellucco and Bizhukova broke back to tie the second set at one. The pair had a few chances to break the Cowgirl duo, but couldn't prevail.
