WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State student-athlete Fatima Bizhukova has been named to the American Athletic Conference all-conference team, the conference office announced Thursday afternoon.
 
All-conference honors on the women's side is 12 players selected by the head coaches.
 
Bizhukova, who reached as high as No. 111 in the ITA/Oracle Singles Rankings, finished the spring season with a 5-3 record with wins over two ranked opponents. The senior currently ranks No. 121 in singles and No. 30 in doubles with Marta Bellucco. Bizhukova, who was a member of the 2018 all-conference team, recorded her third top-10 victory on March 11 with a 6-2, 6-3 win over No. 7 Sophie Whittle of Gonzaga.
 
Bizhukova and Bellucco earned American Athletic Conference Players of the Month in October after a stellar fall season. The two reached No. 14 in the ITA/Oracle Rankings, the highest for a Shocker duo since 1999-2000. The duo most recently earned a spot in the NCAA Doubles Championship (May 20-25) after receiving an at-large bid. With the nod, the pair become just the fourth duo to make the Doubles Championship, and the first since 2009-10.
