WICHITA, Kan. — Wichita State women's tennis head coach
Jacob Eddins announced Wednesday the signing of Alina Vysochenko, a top-60-ranked recruit in the 2026 class.
Â
Vysochenko is the first signee for Eddins, who became head coach of the Shockers in September.
Â
"My staff and I are thrilled to welcome Alina to Wichita State next fall," Eddins said. "She brings a wealth of international experience with her and a highly professional approach to her daily training."
Â
Vysochenko, a native of Ukraine who has been residing in Oceanport, N.J., since 2022, is rated the No. 53 recruit in the 2026 class by Tennis Recruiting Network and is No. 49 by TennisRPI with a rating of 59.5. Â
Â
She recently finished as the doubles champion and singles runner-up at the Mount Pleasant J60 Tournament on Nov. 8, losing to her doubles teammate Daniella Sales. Her result was one of many that have seen her International Tennis Federation (ITF) ranking climb nearly 400 spots since July 2025.Â
Â
She currently holds an overall singles record of 31-18 and a doubles record of 27-10. She is 12-12 competing against five-star recruits in her career and is 11-2 against four-star players and below.Â
Â
"Alina has a great drive to keep improving and competing at the highest level, and I believe she will be a perfect fit for our program's values and goals," Eddins said. "I'm confident that Alina will make a significant, positive impact and help elevate the Wichita State women's tennis program to new heights."
