WICHITA, Kan. — Wichita State women's tennis head coach
Jacob Eddins announced the signing of Judy Tawila on Monday morning.

Tawila comes to Wichita State with a loaded list of accomplishments, winning a total of 13 junior titles across singles and doubles. She has been ranked as high as No. 183 in the International Tennis Federation junior singles rankings.

Her title count includes five J60 singles titles, three J60 doubles titles and the J100 Dakahlia doubles title in August 2025. Her most recent trophies came at a J60 event in Cairo, Egypt, where she captured both the singles and doubles titles in September 2025.

She recently competed at the Africa Regional Championships in Cairo, where she reached the singles semifinals. She is ranked as the No. 1 junior tennis player in Egypt.

Tawila, who hails from Egypt, holds overall records of 51-37 in doubles and 85-51 in singles while competing on the ITF junior circuit.

Tawila is the fourth signee in a freshman class ranked No. 2 among non-Power Four programs by Tennis Recruiting Network on June 12. She joins fellow signees Dinara De Silva, Lina Soussi and Alina Vysochenko.
