WICHITA, Kan. – The Wichita State track and field program will travel south to Texas, entering its top athletes in the 92nd Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin, while the majority of the team will compete at the Bobcat Invitational in San Marcos.

The 92nd Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays will feature more than 210 University/College teams, with a combined 2,424 athletes entered in competition. While the meet begins Wednesday, March 27, the Shockers first day of competition begins on Thursday, March 28.

Longhorn Network will broadcasts the meet, Wednesday's events will be tape delayed and will air 6:30-8:00 p.m., Thursday from 4:30-6:00 p.m. (tape delay) and 6:00-8:00 p.m. (live). Friday's schedule is live from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., and 5:00-7:00 p.m., while Saturday is live from 1:30-5:30 p.m.

17 men and 13 women will be going up against some of the best competition in the country. Featured events include,
Aaron True in the "Section A" of the men's javelin on Friday, March 29 at 6:00 p.m. He enters a field that includes 2018 national champion Anderson Peters of Mississippi State. True enters with the No. 9 ranking in the nation.

Rayvon Allen and
Jared Belardo enter a talented "Section A" long jump field that features No. 2 in the nation Jordan Latimer of Akron and No. 17 Justin Hall of Texas Tech. Allen enters the competition ranked No. 9 in the nation, while Belardo sits at No. 37.

Carlea Miles will have her hands full throwing in "Section A" of the women's javelin. In a competition that features 13 throwers, five are ranked in the top-15 of the nation, including No. 4 Gabrielle Kearney of Oklahoma and No. 5 Madalaine Stulce of Texas A&M.

Multiple Shocker sprinters will get their first look at conference foe Houston. Allen and
Austin Corley will enter the 400m hurdles that features Cougars Amere Lattin and Jordan Quivell. Lattin is currently the national leader with a time of 49.82, followed by Quivell at No. 2 with a time of 50.87.

The Shocker women's 4x100m squad of
Raianna Maples,
Paula Garcia,
Jacque Darby and
Taniyah McMillian recorded the eighth fastest time in Shocker history of 45.71 on March 23. The group will enter the event that features 57 teams, including Houston who has posted the 15th fastest time in the nation clocking in at 44.77.

In San Marcos, 30 miles south on I-35, Shockers enter 29 women and 25 men in the Bobcat Invitational hosted by Texas State University. Competition for the Shockers begin Thursday, March 28 at 11:00 a.m., with the women's discus, followed by the men's discus at 2:30 p.m. Friday's events kick off with the field events at 1:00 p.m., followed by running events at 5:00 p.m. Saturday's field events start at 9:00 a.m., while the gun goes off at 3:00 p.m., for the track events.
