Temple Review
Wichita State's two-game win streak came to an end following a 65-40 loss to Temple Saturday night... The Shockers were outscored 20-1 in the fourth quarter... Freshman Seraphine Bastin tallied 10 of her 11 points in the first half to go with seven boards... Redshirt junior Raven Prince had a team-high nine rebounds.

The Series vs. Memphis
Wichita State and Memphis have met just five times prior to Wednesday's matchup, with the Tigers holding a slight edge, 3-2. The first meeting took place in November 2008 with the Tigers taking that contest in Memphis, 61-54. Wichita State is 1-2 when playing the Tigers in Memphis. Wichita State won at Memphis a season ago, 77-64, during the team's five game win streak.

Last Meeting
Wichita State and Memphis met back on Jan. 12 in Wichita in the Shockers' conference home opener, only to see the Tigers spoil it with a 71-50 win. Wichita State misfired on 25 of its 27 attempts from three-point range and shot just 28.3 percent overall to go with 25 turnovers. Memphis' Alana Davis led all players with 26 points. Jaida Hampton was the lone Shocker to reach double-figures, tallying 10 points on 4-of-16 shooting. Seraphine Bastin grabbed a game and season-high tying 10 rebounds.

Scouting the Tigers

Memphis is 9-12 overall and 4-4 in The American with league wins over the Shockers, ECU, USF and Tulsa. The Tigers rank 12th nationally in three-point defense, allowing opponents to shoot just 26.0 percent from beyond the arc this season. Memphis also ranks in the top three in The American in free throw attempts (2nd), blocks (3rd), blocks per game (3rd), free throws made (3rd), offensive rebounds per game (3rd) and rebounds (3rd). Alana Davis pulls down 4.0 offensive rebounds per game, which ranks 23rd in the country and second in the league.

Bastin's Boards
Freshman guard Seraphine Bastin has been Wichita State's best rebounders of late. The 5-foot-8 point guard has pulled down six or more rebounds in the last six games, including a season-high 10 twice (vs. Memphis and ECU on Jan. 12 and Jan. 29). She is averaging 7.7 rebounds per game over a six-game stretch. In conference play (8 games), Bastin has a team-high 54 rebounds - 15 more than the next closest Shocker (Raven Prince, 39) - good for a 6.8 rebound per game average.

Offensive Rebounds > Defensive Rebounds
Redshirt junior forward Raven Prince is on pace to finish the season with more offensive rebounds than defensive rebounds. Through 21 games, eight different players have led WSU in scoring. In only one of those games has a player broke the 20-point mark - Sabrina Lozada-Cabbage in the season opener had 21. Lozada-Cabbage, Carla Bremaud, Seraphine Bastin, Trajata Colbert, Alyssia Faye, Jaida Hampton, Dawnyel Lair and Shyia Smith have all taken their turns leading the Shockers in the scoring column this season. Hampton has started to take the reigns as the team's best scoring option, having the led WSU in scoring in a team-high seven games this season. No other player has done it more than three times. Additionally, Wichita State currently has no players averaging double-figures. Bremaud paces the Shockers at 9.7 points per game. Six players average 5.0 or more points a game.

Bri Approaches 100
Senior forward Sabrina Lozada-Cabbage is just five games away from playing her 100th career game in a Shocker uniform. The Santa Fe, N.M., native has played in 95 games, making 69 starts during her four-year career. So far this season she is just one of two Shockers to start every game - along with freshman guard Seraphine Bastin. As of now, she is on pace to reach No. 100 at USF on Feb. 23.

Home Sweet Home
Wichita State will play 18 games in front of its home crowd in 2018-19, marking the most home games in a single season. The Shockers have never played more than 17 games in a season on their own floor. Wichita State played 17 home contests in both 2008-09 and 2006-07 seasons.

Up Next
Wichita State continues its road trip with a stop up north in Cincinnati, Ohio, on Feb. 10 to face the Bearcats in the lone matchup between the two programs this season. Wichita State and Cincinnati tip at 1 p.m. in a nationally-televised contest on ESPNU.
