4/17/2026 3:35:00 PM

WICHITA – Wichita State women's basketball head coach Terry Nooner announces his first two transfer portal signees of the season with the commitments of Kendal Robinson and Ma'Riya Vincent.

Robinson is a 5-10 guard from Fort Worth, Texas, joining the Shockers after two seasons at UT Arlington.

"Kendal Robinson is a competitor," Nooner said. "She plays with pace, toughness and a mindset to get better every single day."

As a freshman in 2024-25, Robinson was named to the All-WAC Freshman Team, appearing in 31 games and making nine starts. She shot 37.4 percent from the floor and finished in double figures three times, helping the Mavericks make a run to the Western Athletic Conference Championship. Robinson and the Mavericks picked up a WNIT first round win in Arlington before exiting the tournament in the second round. As a sophomore last season, she averaged 5.7 points per game, shooting 40.9 from the field and 31.8 percent from three.

"She brings energy, discipline and a real will to win," Nooner said. "Kendal Robinson is exactly the type of player we want representing our program. We are excited to welcome her to Wichita State."

Vincent is a 6-0 guard from Houston, Texas, transferring in from Missouri as an incoming redshirt-sophomore.

"She's built on toughness, growth and doing things the right way," Nooner said. "That's who we want in this program."

Vincent appeared in 26 games last season for the Tigers, recording a season-high six points twice, once in their win over Arkansas and again at Tennessee. A Naismith high school player of the year nominee, Vincent was the No. 4-ranked recruit in the state of Texas, earning All-State recognition at Cypress Spring High School.

"We're adding a competitor who shows up every day ready to work and makes the people around her better," Nooner said. "Ma'Riya Vincent is a great fit for what we're building here."
