WICHITA – Wichita State head women's basketball coach
Terry Nooner announced the addition of three players to the 2026-27 roster Monday afternoon.
Â
The Shockers have signed Lily Ba, Liliana Harrison and Clara Koulibaly out of the transfer portal.
Â
Ba, an Overland Park, Kan. native, joins the Shockers after two seasons at Tulane and one at Louisiana. The 6-foot-3 incoming senior forward appeared in 31 games, making 10 starts and averaging 3.5 points and 3.3 rebounds last season for the Ragin' Cajuns.
Â
"I'm excited to welcome Lily Ba to Wichita State," Nooner said. "She's a versatile five who can impact the game in a lot of ways. She rebounds, protects the rim, and plays with great fundamentals on the offensive end."
Â
In her first two collegiate seasons at Tulane, Ba played in 30 games, averaging 3.7 minutes per game. A Blue Valley West High School graduate, Ba was an honorable mention selection in the Eastern Kansas League and earned Third Team Eastern League recognition as a junior. As a senior she was a Second Team Eastern Kansas League honoree and was named Blue Valley West's Most Valuable Player.
Â
"What really separates her is her ability to step out and knock down the three," Nooner said. "That gives us a true stretch five and creates space for everything we want to do. Lily is a matchup problem and a great fit for our system."
Â
Ba hit 13 threes for the Ragin Cajuns last season.
Â
Harrison, a 6-foot-2 incoming sophomore power forward, joins the Shockers after playing her freshman season at Delaware State. The Lebanon, Pa. native appeared in 30 games, making 17 starts and averaging 6.2 points and 3.9 rebounds per game for the Hornets and was named to the Mid-Eastern Atlantic Conference All-Rookie Team.
Â
"I'm proud to welcome Liliana to Wichita State," Nooner said. "She's an elite scorer in the paint with great hands and outstanding footwork. She knows how to create angles and finish around the basket."
Â
Harrison was the Hornets' second-leading rebounder with 118 boards and recorded one double-double against South Carolina State.
Â
"She runs the floor well and plays with purpose every possession," Nooner said. "Liliana gives us a strong interior presence and someone we can rely on to produce inside."
Â
Koulibaly, a 6-foot-3 incoming senior forward, comes to the Shockers after two seasons at Gulf Coast State College and one at Auburn. As a junior at Auburn, the Montreal, Quebec, Canada native played in 24 games, averaging 1.0 points and 1.5 rebounds while playing 8.1 minutes per game. She shot 36 percent from the floor on the season and grabbed a season-high 10 rebounds against LSU.
Â
"We're excited to add Clara to our program," Nooner said. "She's strong, physical and brings a toughness inside that you can't teach. She embraces contact and plays with a presence in the paint."
Â
As a sophomore at GCSC, Koulibaly started 28 games, averaging 12.0 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists, scoring in double figures 18 times. She recorded six double-doubles and put up a career-high 26 points against Chipola. Prior to college, she played for the 18U Guinean National Team at the 2022 FIBA U18 African Women's Championship.
Â
"She can score with her back to the basket, face up, and step out to knock down shots. Clara gives us versatility and is a true inside enforcer who sets the tone."
