ON THE AIR
Monday's game can be heard online at GoShockers.com/Listen with the voice of Shocker Women's Basketball Steve Strain calling the action. Strain is in his sixth season broadcasting games for the women's program. The game will also be televised locally on COX YurView (HD 2022) and streamed online at YurView.com/Kansas.

CHASING 600
Wichita State enters the 2019-20 campaign with an all-time record of 598-685, needing just two wins to reach 600. They would become the 10th program in the American Athletic Conference with 600 or more victories. UCF (596) is right on the doorstep to 600 as well - needing only six wins to reach the milestone. Tulsa (351) is the only other active member shy of that mark.

LAST TIME OUT
Wichita State picked up its second straight win and first road win of the 2019-20 campaign at Louisiana Tech Wednesday night (88-80). The Shockers improved to 2-0 all-time vs. La Tech. WSU shot better than 50 percent from the field for the second straight game and also won the rebound battle for the first time this season (45-34). Sophomore Seraphine Bastin scored a game and career-high 20 points to go with eight boards and four assists, while going 9-of-14 from the free throw line. Her 20 points are the most since Sabrina Lozada-Cabbage scored 21 vs. UAPB on Nov. 7, 2018. Freshman DJ McCarty also set a new career high with 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting. She is averaging 17.5 points in the Shockers' two road games this season. Sophomore Shyia Smith finished one point shy of her career high with 16 points and also grabbing a career-high tying eight rebounds.

SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
Houston Baptist is 3-2 to open the season after wins against LSU-Shreveport (67-44), Paul Quinn (63-34) and Oral Roberts and losses to No. 2 Baylor (112-42) and Houston (82-60). The Huskies have just one player averaging 10 or more points on the season, Timia Johnson at 13.0 per game. Johnson, however, has played in only two games for the Huskies. Megan Valdez-Crader comes in next at 7.4 points. Kennedy Wilson leads HBU in assists (10) and steals (13). Houston Baptist ranks 47th nationally in steals per game.

BUCKETS FOR BREMAUD
A season ago, Carla Bremaud led the Shockers in scoring and was selected for the American Athletic Conference All-Freshman Team, becoming the first freshman to lead Wichita State in scoring for a season since Kiki Stephens in 2004-05. Now a sophomore, Bremaud will look to carry that momentum into 2019-20, while also coming off a summer with the French U20 National Team.

A SHOCKER WIN WOULD...
... make them 3-2 on the season
... give them a 2-0 lead in the series with HBU
... run Adams' career coaching record to 440-283
... make Adams 313-246 at the Division I level
... make them 367-231 all-time in Charles Koch Arena
... make Wichita State 599-685 all-time

A SHOCKER LOSS WOULD...
... drop them to 2-3 to begin the season
... drop WSU to 1-1 vs. Houston Baptist
... lower Adams' career coaching record to 439-284
... make Adams 312-247 at the Division I level
... make them 366-232 all-time in Charles Koch Arena
... make Wichita State 598-686 all-time

CAREER NIGHTS
• Wichita State's road win at Louisiana Tech on Nov. 20 was powered by career nights from several Shockers. The Shockers' 88 points were the most since Wichita State also scored 88 in a home win vs. Temple on Feb. 14, 2018. It was the most points scored by a Wichita State team on the road since scoring 89 in a loss at Drake on March 4, 2017. Wichita State also converted at the charity stripe, going 24-of-33. The 24 made free throws are the most since Dec. 11, 2018 vs. Grambling State when WSU also made 24. The 33 attempts are the most since Jan. 15, 2017 when WSU attempted 37 at Evansville.
• Sophomore Seraphine Bastin scored a game and career-high 20 points - 11 after halftime. Her nine made free throws and 14 attempts were also career highs. Her scoring output was the first this season in double figures and ninth of her career.
• Freshman DJ McCarty continued her stellar play, tallying a career-high 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting, while also setting career bests in assists (4), free throws made (4) and attempted (6). In Wichita State's two road games this season, McCarty is averaging 17.5 points per game.
• Sophomore Shyia Smith came up one point shy of a career high with 16 points on 5-of-8 shooting and a perfect 5-for-5 at the free throw line. Her game-high tying eight rebounds tied a career best.
• Redshirt sophomore Asia Henderson blocked three shots in the contest, setting a new personal best.

HEY DJ, GO DJ
Playing in her first collegiate road contest on Monday, Nov. 11 at Oral Roberts, freshman guard DJ McCarty set a number of season highs. McCarty came in off the bench and lit up the Golden Eagles to the tune of 17 points on 7-of-13 shooting and 3-of-5 from beyond the arc in 33 minutes of action. The Texas native also pulled down four rebounds. McCarty and Carla Bremaud single-handedly kep the Shockers in it the first half, combining for 17 of the team's 25 points.

MCCULLY SHINES IN DEBUT
Junior guard Mariah McCully made her long-awaited Wichita State debut on Sunday, Nov. 17 vs. Southern, and she did not disappoint. The Grand Rapids, Mich., native came off the bench to score a game-high 12 points in 22 minutes of action, while shooting 5-of-10 from the floor. McCully did a little bit of everything, totaling three rebounds, three assists and four steals to help the Shockers record their first win of the season.

WIN NO. 300
Wichita State head coach Keitha Adams collected her 300th career win at the Division I level in Wichita State's overtime win vs. Missouri State on Nov. 10, 2018. She compiled 284 wins in her 16 seasons at UTEP and has accumulated 28 in her first two plus seasons at Wichita State. She has a career record of 312-246.

OH CAPTAIN, MY CAPTAIN(S)
The votes are in. Wichita State women's basketball will feature three team captains in 2019-20 - senior Ashley Reid and sophomores Seraphine Bastin and Trajata Colbert. Selected by their teammates, the trio will be looked upon to lead the Shocker basketball program for the remainder of the campaign.

THE SERIES VS. HOUSTON BAPTIST
Wichita State and Houston Baptist have met just once prior to Monday's matchup. The two schools squared off one year ago in Charles Koch Arena, a Wichita State win, 68-50. This will be the second meeting between Wichita State and Louisiana Tech in Wichita.

LAST MEETING
Wichita State and Houston Baptist met just over a year ago in Wichita on Nov. 17, 2018 - a game the Shockers led wire-to-wire. Wichita State led by as many as 24 in the game thanks to holding HBU to 27.6 percent shooting and 11-of-22 from the free throw line. The Shockers won comfortably despite shooting only 37.9 percent overall and 27.3 percent from long range. Trajata Colbert came off the bench to record her first career double-double in only 13 minutes of action. Colbert led the way with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Seraphine Bastin was the only other Shocker in double figures with 11. Sabrina Lozada-Cabbage just missed a double-double with eight points and eight rebounds.
