NORMAN, Okla. - Senior Sarvinoz Saidhujaeva and the Shocker duo of Alexandra Lazarova and Natsumi Kurahashi will be moving on to the round of 32 tomorrow after going undefeated today at the ITA Central Region Championships in Norman, Okla.  
 
Saidhujaeva started her day off by downing Creighton's Emma Gener, 6-0, 6-3, before moving on to face the No. 11 seed, Kansas's Toran Ribes, in the second round of the main draw. Ribes was last year's runner up at this event and earned multiple Big 12 honors last year, including the Big 12 Tournament Most Valuable Player and an All-Big 12 Singles Second Team placement. Ribes won the first set in this matchup, but Saidhujaeva was able to force a third set and win the match, 5-7, 6-3, 7-5.
 
In the doubles bracket, Lazarova and Kurahashi were able to handle their opponent, UMKC's Grechkina/Xibilia, and win, 8-6.
 
The doubles round of 32 and 16 and the singles round of 32 will take place tomorrow. Saidhujaeva will face the 28th seeded Karine-Marion Job (KSU) and Lazarova/Kurahashi will face off against the No. 8 seed, Thamchaiwat/Detkovskaya (OSU).
