WICHITA, Kan.
- Multiple Shockers placed in the top three on the final day of the 71st annual K.T. Woodman Classic.
 
After revising the schedule due to inclement weather the pole vault, high jump, hammer and discus were the only events in competition on the final day of the K.T. Woodman Classic.

Men
Isaiah Evans highlighted the day for the men's team, winning both the hammer throw and discus. The junior won the hammer throw with a personal best 57.83m/189-9, the mark is also the ninth furthest mark in Shocker history. Evans recorded another personal best mark finishing first in the discus (47.26m/155-1).
 
Hayden Bugner won the pole vault clearing 4.96m/16-3.25 and Eric Etie finished fourth with a personal best 4.66m/15-3.5.
 
True freshman Miles Griffith led the Shockers in the high jump winning with a height of 2.03m/6-8. Hunter Veith, Austin Chippeaux and Kole Konrade each cleared 1.98m/6-6 to finish second.
 
Women
Kelsey Slawson won the discus with a throw of 46.27m/151-10 and Tyra Bickham finished second with a mark of 46.06m/151-1. In the hammer throw, Meagan Williams led the Shockers finishing second with a throw of 47.92m/157-3, followed by Slawson in fifth (43.81m/143-9).
 
Katie Murray took first place in the high jump clearing 1.62m/5-3.75, followed by Kendra Henry and Abbi Bird each clearing 1.57m/5-1.75.
 
True freshman Mia Moret led the Shocks in the pole vault finishing fifth with a personal best clearance 3.37m/11-0.75, fellow freshman Jewel Eck cleared 3.37m/11-0.75.
 
The Shockers are in action next week as they travel to Norman, Okla., to compete in the John Jacobs Invitational on Saturday, April 21.
