WICHITA, Kan. - The Wichita State men's tennis team wrapped up fall action with trips to Birmingham, Ala. and Niceville, Fla. for ITF Futures events.

Senior
Haru Inoue collected two singles wins at the USA F29 Futures in Birmingham to advance to the quarterfinals of a futures main draw for the third time this year. A native of Tokyo, Japan, Inoue took down Liam Draxl (CAN) in the first round (6-4, ret.). Inoue followed with a 7-5, 7-5 win over Jan Zielinski (POL) to reach the quarterfinal, before falling to eventual finalist Strong Kirchheimer (USA), 6-1, 6-2.

Inoue also teamed with Filip Jianu (ROM) in doubles, where the duo reached the quarterfinals after knocking off Patrick Daciek (USA)/Rowland Phillips (JAM), 2-6, 6-3, 11-9.

Five Shockers made the trip to the Bluewater Bay Tennis Club in Niceville, where they took on the 128-man qualifying draw on a clay surface.

Freshman
Orel Ovil garnered the five-seed in the draw, and was joined by seniors
Eddie Stoica,
Andrea Caligiana and juniors
Murkel Dellien and
Marius Frosa.

Frosa and Dellien collected first round wins, while Stoica and Caligiana fell. After receiving a bye, Ovil fell in a close second round match.

Dellien took on Neel Rajesh (USA) and won handily, 6-2, 6-4. The junior from Bolivia fell to Alejandro Valencia (COL) in three sets (6-2, 3-6, 6-1) in second round action. After rolling past Arsav Mohanty (6-3, 6-0), Frosa dropped a three-set match to Rowland Phillips (JAM).

Elswhere, Ovil fell to Jonathan Sorbo (CAN), 6-3, 7-6(4), Stoica dropped a match to Alvaro Fernandez Horta (ESP), 6-2, 7-6(2), and Caligiana was defeated by Patrick Daciek (USA), 6-3, 6-3.
