Prairie Wolf Invitational ResultsLINCOLN, Neb. -- Wichita State's track and field team completed the first of two meets Friday evening at the Prairie Wolf Indoor Invitational hosted by Nebraska Wesleyan. The bulk of the Shocker men's and women's team will compete Saturday at the Mark Colligan Memorial hosted by the University of Nebraska in the Bob Devaney Sports Center.
On Saturday, Nebraska is the host for the Fifth Annual Mark Colligan Memorial on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at the Devaney Center. Colorado State, Illinois State and host Nebraska are set to compete at this year's meet, named in honor of former Nebraska track and field throws coach Mark Colligan, who passed away in 2011. The Huskers have won both the men's and women's team titles each of the past three years. |

Courtney Lies opened the day strong for the women's team, taking second place in both the long jump and the triple jump, with distances of 5.18m and 11.09m, respectively.
In the 60m hurdles,
Talia Highbarger was able to take third place with a time of 9.14, while
Carlea Holt finished in fifth place with a time of 9.19.
Also for the women,
Breanne Borman won the 60m finals with a time of 7.87, while she also took fourth in the 200 meters with a time of 25.87. The next Shocker to finish was
Emily Doffing in seventh place with a time of 26.37.
In the women's 3000m race,
Savannah Wright finished in fifth with a time of 10:41.31, while
Suzie Wright, running unattached, finished in seventh place with a time of 10:48.06.
On the men's side,
Kaden Griffin finished in fifth place in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.66.
Joe Harter also finished well in the 3000m race, placing fourth with a time of 8:47.98, while
Seth Buck finished in eighth in the men's long jump with a jump of 6.06m.
