About League 42: Started in 2013 by Bob Lutz, League 42 is a baseball league, financially backed by mostly private donations, for inner city kids to play the greatest game on earth. It is for non-prospect aged kids (eighth-grade and under). With an original goal of 150 kids participating, League 42 already has 400 players. The entry fee per player is $30, and they get a hat, glove and baseball shoes with that entry fee. Games are played at historic McAdams Park in the heart of Wichita. They need to erect two new fields in conjunction with the City of Wichita.
