NORMAL, Ill. - The No. 57 Wichita State men's tennis team rolled to a 6-1 victory at Illinois State in its regular season finale.
The Shockers swept all three doubles matches posted straight-sets wins at Nos. 3-6 singles. Tomislav Gregurovic lost a tiebreaker in the first set but bounced back to take his No. 2 singles match in a superset tiebreaker, 10-8.
WSU (17-6, 2-1 MVC) has posted 16 wins or more in each of the past five seasons. Illinois State dropped to 9-11 (1-2 MVC).
The Shockers will look to add to that total, beginning next Friday when conference tournament action gets underway in St. Louis. Brackets have not yet been released.
