FORT WORTH, Texas – No. 2 TCU scored seven runs in the seventh inning to pull away from Wichita State for an 11-2 win in game three of the series.

Tanner Dearman went 1-for-1 with two RBI, while Bob Arens, Ryan Tinkham, Chase Rader and Sam Hilliard each had a hit.

Starter Sam Tewes went 1.1 innings and gave up one run on two hits.

Evan Skoug hit a leadoff double in the second and moved to third on a groundout. He came around to score on a single through the right side from Nolan Brown to put TCU up 1-0.

TCU added to the lead in the sixth. With one  out, Connor Wanhanen and Garrett Crain singled and Skoug's double to left field scored both to make the score 3-0. Skoug scored on a passed ball to give TCU a 4-0 lead.

The Horned Frogs added seven more runs in the seventh to increase the lead to 11-0.

WSU broke up the shutout in the eighth inning. Chase Rader and Sam Hilliard led off with singles and Bob Arens walked to load the bases. With one out, Tanner Dearman singled down the left field line to drive in Rader and Hilliard and cut the lead to 11-2.

The Shockers are next in action on Wed., April 1 when they host Kansas at 6:30 p.m. at Eck Stadium.
