WICHITA, Kan.- The Wichita State men's tennis team will head
to Midland, Texas to play in the Midland Fall Invitational Sept. 14-16 at the
Midland Tennis Club.
The tournament will kick off the season for the Shockers.
The No. 93 ranked player in the nation, senior Matheus Pereira, will look to
lead the Shocker men after going 29-7 in singles competition last season.
Pereira and other returners, Tomislav Gregurovic, Erick
Reyes, and Guillermo Nicol will look to help lead the two Shocker newcomers for the fall season,
sophomore Alvaro Gutierrez and freshman Tin Ostojic.
Joining Wichita State in the tournament will be Arkansas, Texas
A&M, Texas, Texas Tech, Tulsa, TCU and Rice.
