WICHITA, Kan.- Shocker women's golfers Natalie Samb and
Gretchen Huhnerkoch had a pair of successful finishes in Minnesota golf
tournaments this week.
Natalie Samb, paired with former Drake Bulldog Olivia
Lansing, won the Minnesota Women's Public Golf Association's State Four-ball
Championship. The duo won the championship by shooting a 68 to tie Leigh Klasse
and Merridith Duellman-Joly, and then prevailing in the playoff hole.
Gretchen Huhnerkoch helped lead the Minnesota Golf
Association Amateur team to a 24 to 16 victory in the 36th MGA/PGA Cup Matches.
Huhnerkoch defeated Kathy Swanson, 3&2, in her singles match and then with
her partner Kristen Wagner, defeated Lori Money and Kathy Swanson in their
four-ball match, 2 up.
