OWASSO, Okla. - Day
one is complete for the Wichita State Shockers at the competitive Dale McNamara
Invitational hosted by Tulsa University.
The Shockers are in 12th place out of 16 teams
with a first round team score of 310.
UNLV and Oklahoma are tied for first at 292.
Gretchen
Huhnerkoch, Hannah Martin and Lauren Hassell are currently tied for 29th
after each cared a 76. Adin
Stromgren finished with an 82 and Natalie Samb an 83 today.
The field for
the tournament is strong and includes: UALR, Kansas State, Kennesaw State, Long
Beach State, Middle Tennessee State, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oklahoma
State, Oral Roberts, SMU, Texas, Texas A&M-CC, UNLV and Tulsa.
Day two of the
tournament will be played tomorrow.
Results will be posted to GoShockers.com as they become available. Tee times each morning will start at 8
a.m. on the par 72-6,200 yard course.
Golfers will tee off from the first and tenth tees.
