Manon Guille and
Kayla Van de Ven tied for 10th-place to lead Wichita State to a fifth-place team finish in the Rio Verde Invitational on Sunday at Rio Verde Country Club.

Wichita State recorded rounds of 292, 305 and 304 for a total of 901, finishing 37 strokes over par. Bradley won the team title with an 885 (+21). Xavier's Isabel Brozena claimed medalist honors with a 215 (-1).

In their first round of the spring,
Manon Guille and
Kayla Van de Ven shined. Guille shot a 69 (-3), while Van de Ven finished even par. Guille moved into a tie for first, while Van de Ven sat in fourth place. As a team, the Shockers were tied for first with Xavier.

Brooklyn Benn stood out in the second round, shooting 1-under par to move into the individual top five.
In the final round, Van de Ven and Guille returned to their first-round form. Van de Ven shot 1-under par and Guille finished 2-over. Their third-round performances moved both into a tie for 10th.

Van de Ven's 10th-place finish tied her Shocker career best, while Guille recorded a new career-best finish.
