4/18/2026 12:00:00 PM

BROOKSVILLE, Fla. — Wichita State will look to punch its ticket to the NCAA tournament with an American Conference Championship victory, beginning on April 20 at Southern Hills Plantation Club.

The Shockers enter Florida in the midst of one of their best seasons in recent memory. They have recorded six top-five team finishes, which is the most in a single season since 2018. Of the six top-five finishes, three have been in the top three, including taking third last week in the Stampede at the Creek in Omaha.

In last week's action, none of the six competing Shockers finished outside of the top 30 individually. Mackenzie Wilson and Kayla Van de Ven tied for fifth to lead the Shockers, with Manon Guille tying for 10th and Kate Tilma taking 16th. Wichita State has now recorded 16 top 20 finishes in the 2025-26 season, led by Wilson, who has five.

Wichita State finished eighth at last year's American Championship and has a program-best finish of fifth place, which came back at the 2018 American Championship.
