OMAHA, Neb. -- Wichita State's Torrie Browning finished as the Runner-Up in Sunday's Flight 1 Singles championship match at the Missouri Valley Conference Individual Championships in Omaha, Neb.

Browning faced two-time MVC Individual Champion Jennifer Migan from Indiana State in the Flight 1 Final match, but came up short in her upset bid as Migan took the match 6-4, 6-3.

Meanwhile, at the ITA All-American Championships Prequalifying draw in Pacific Palisades, Calif., Lenore Lazaroiu and Florentina Hanisch were looking to stay alive in the Doubles draw. The Shocker duo took on Georgia Tech's McDowell/Krupina in their first match on Sunday, and came out victorious with an 8-6 victory. With a berth in the Qualifying draw on the line, the Lazaroiu/Hanisch then took on Arkansas' Kaluder/Miseviciute, but came up short in an 8-3 decision.
