WICHITA, Kan.- The Wichita State women's golf team finished play at the Missouri State Stewart Memorial at the Rivercut Golf Course in Springfield, Mo. After day one of play, the Shockers were in fifth out of 16 teams, at the finish of the second day, WSU moved up to fourth with total score of 644 (319-325).
Sophomore Krista Hrdlicka lead WSU for the second straight day with a 153 total (75-78) and tied for fifth. Hrdlicka finished only two strokes from first place finisher, Ashlery Sholer from Oklahoma City University.
Senior Catalina Guacaneme finished in ninth with a 156 (76-80). Senior Nicole Lloyd tied for 27th with two rounds of 82 to finish with a total of 164. Junior Jamie Raines then shot a 171 (86-85) to tie for 45th, while sophomore Megan Bartlett tied for 57th with a 175 (87-88). Sophomore Ashley Parker played as an individual and tied for 63rd with a 178 (83-95).
The Shockers will now travel to Norman, Okla., to participate in the Susie Maxwell Berning Invite on April 7-8.
